the concept of hot air rie is also applied in here as the back is designed in a way that the hot air doesn't hit the person who is using it, its angled for that.

Abstract -
Enjoying a cool breeze on a hot summer day feels fantastic. However, setting up a water cooler can be quite a task, demanding a significant amount of effort, time, and energy. This cooler is designed for both Western and Indian markets
Humidity: Air coolers work by adding moisture to the air, which can make the air feel more humid. In areas with high humidity, this can make the air feel uncomfortably sticky.

I analysised the diverse components, intricacies, and functionalities of a contemporary desk cooler. This involved a profound exploration into its operational mechanics, strategic material utilization, and the underlying rationale shaping its design.

the users

Emptying the water tank
it is inconvenient and hard for the user to through the water out of the resivor after use .
the cooler if placeped at the desk will not be able to tilit to a angle comfertable for the user as most of the cool air is going to there chest . also there is no swivel motion
no grip makes it hard to take out the filter
thr lid open but doesnt stay open you need to hold it whilr filling water

STUDENTS

The root cause for most problem is ..... WATER

Problems with water
If water is left behind, it's the biggest breeding ground for mosquitoes and other insects.
It's a hassle to add the water to the water tank.
It's a bigger hassle to remove the water from the tank."
The water makes a lot of mess around the air cooler.
"You have to refill the water every 2 hours, which is one of the biggest hassles."
It takes a lot of time to get water and fill it up.
When moving the air cooler around, the water falls over.

Problem areas

Ergonomic issues
Function
Form issues
Hard to hold it with one hand .
Hard to move it around with water in it .
The led light is very dim you can't see it in daylight
The angle of air flow is low does not reach the user puer face
Making it more initiative the buttons for the speed and light is not initiative .
It is very hard to empty the water
Same design is being continued since a long time
The angle of air flow is low does not reach the user uper face

Inception
Ideation
Concept
My design process in the ideation stage was a bit different in this project. I didn't just have to change the appearance of the product; I had to create a new product altogether, which had to be based on a different technology altogether. This technology needed to solve all the problems. Here, I am showing you how I made a difference in the technology and created proof-of-concept prototypes.
Constraints of evaporative cooling
Humidity: Air coolers work by adding moisture to the air, which can make the air feel more humid. In areas with high humidity, this can make the air feel uncomfortably sticky.

PELTIER

The components
POC - 1
Air flow

The peltier cools the heat sink on one side and heats the bigger heatsink on the other side The fan 1 blows the ambient air in on the cold the heat sink and then the air floors out from the front vent
The hot heat sink disperse the deat by using a bigger heatsink and a cooling fan attached on bottom of the heatsink which blows the heat out of the back .
CHANGES made
Centrifugal fan
Compact in size has a lot of power and airflow , no blade .
New bigger peltier
Cools much faster and cools more .

Advantage of pulling air -
The cold air will be made more efficiently if the air is sucked through the cold heat sink itself, as the air becomes cold first when the fan pulls it from the bottom. Then, it is pushed through the fan.

process of making POC- 4
I made many proof-of-concept (POC) iterations – 1, 2, 3, and so on, around 15 POC changes. Each POC primarily had many different models in it.
