BACK STORY
The backstory to this project begins with my decision to embark on an exchange semester at the Royal College of the Arts in The Hague, Netherlands, where I was immersed in the study of furniture and interior design.
Upon my arrival in the Netherlands, I encountered a significant challenge - the housing crisis made it extremely difficult to find suitable accommodation. After a relentless search, I eventually secured a room, and I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for having a roof over my head. However, when I first entered the room, I was shocked to discover that its size was a mere 6 square meters. It was so cramped that I felt claustrophobic and anxious, making it nearly impossible to live in such a confined space.
Throughout my studies at the Royal College of the Arts, I took a topic of claustrophobia, which resonated with me due to my own experience. I realized that I had never truly lived in my room; it was merely a place for me to sleep.
In response to this revelation, I conducted a detailed analysis of my room and my living situation. This analysis served as the foundation for the design process that I undertook to create this project.

Humidity: Air coolers work by adding moisture to the air, which can make the air feel more humid. In areas with high humidity, this can make the air feel uncomfortably sticky.
Enjoying a cool breeze on a hot summer day feels fantastic. However, setting up a water cooler can be quite a task, demanding a significant amount of effort, time, and energy. This cooler is designed for both Western and Indian markets

"All the materials have been reclaimed from waste. In my own college in the Netherlands, people used to waste a lot of wood pieces which were in really good condition, sometimes even untouched ones, and other materials."

Over the course of a few weeks, I collected a significant amount of wood from the wood workshop. I would pick up any usable pieces of wood that I came across.
"In Europe, the culture of used furniture often involves keeping unwanted items outside the house. I took the opportunity to collect leather and foam by cycling around my neighborhood and retrieving them from dumpsters or discarded sofas on the streets.
